My very long day
Well, today has been a very long day for me. I woke up late and did not feel like getting out of bed. I’ll bet you have felt like that before. I knew I had to start my day because of the ridiculous amount of homework I had to do so I forced myself up and started the grind. All was going according to plan when I hit a road block in my studies. Lightening started flashing and thunder rolled across the sky. I really do not like storms. They scare me something fierce! But I thought to myself that I had to keep going the day was just going to get shorter. So I plugged away at my computer. The time went by and I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. How many times I have eaten today I wondered? Well, I had to stop what I was doing and find something to eat. Then back to the education I went. Sounds pretty boring so far huh? Well, it was until I noticed that the camper my awesome husband and I bought had a leak above the master bed.
I ran to it and tried to get the mattress out and of course it got stuck!! OH PERFECT, I thought!! Once that was taken care of, it was back to my essay. I had to rush and get it done so that I could get a little shopping done for my daughter and get back home in time to start and complete a team assignment that consisted of a 20 slide Power Point. I sure am glad I love Power Points!! Well, one of my teammates never showed up with her portion of the assignment so my other teammates had to pitch in a help with her portion. Thank goodness for them or I would still be working on it. After everything was said and done, I turn in everything on time and finished with just minutes to spare. Now, I might sound like I am bragging, but really I am just summing up what happened today. The biggest thing I have to remember is that I love what I do in school and it will help me help all of you. That is my main reason for doing what I do each and every day. So that I can help people who need a smile or someone to talk to that understands what they are going through.
Although this week’s category was all about obesity and how it effects mental and physical health, I have learned a lot in my educational journey and I still have a lot more to learn. I would love to learn more about the people I connect with and who might need a little pick-me-up. So if you know someone like that, send him or her (or them) my way and let’s see if we can’t make each other smile!
Thank you all for joining me today for my personal story! Please keep coming back. Don’t forget to visit me on FaceBook and especially don’t forget to SMILE!!
